Ask me and the Vilia comes pretty close to being the I-pod of Russian Camera engineering. Simple essential forms, a black plastic body with a brushed metal finish, white Cyrillic lettering – come on!
But enough with this superficiality, after all it’s about the pictures a camera takes. Period. A MMZ-Belomo native, the Vilia comes with a Triplet 69-3 40mm f/4 lens with a focal length of 0.8 to infinity. On getting my first roll of film back, I was surprised how sharp the images actually turned out. I’d certainly give two thumbs up for the optics. The aperture starts at f/4, so it’s clear that this puppy loves to be taken outside in the sun. The shutter speeds range from B, 1/30 to 1/250. The Vilia’s shutter lever is situated right next to its lens. Using your middle finger for it will definitely add some style to your shooting pose, if you ask me.i’m
So, if you’re down with Vilia’s looks I promise you won’t be disappointed by the shots it takes. It’s an easy to use, zone-focusing camera with enough features to give you something to play around with”.

Yeah the Vilia rules alright! Totally loved my Smena Symbol, which is essentially the same camera I think, but the Vilia just looks that bit more refined. However, the symbol is great when used as a defensive weapon.
