Our New Website Is Launching Soon

12

We are thrilled to announce that next week our new community site will be launched! As the final step in the re-launch process, next Monday (2nd February) we will make the move over to the new site. This will mean that on Monday you will not be able to log-in and the site will be read-only for a period.

But we would of course love for you to already play with the new site during this time and to experience the changes which include a brand new design and the site being optimized for all screen sizes (meaning it will look great whether you are browsing on a desktop, laptop, tablet or mobile). Whilst the migration is happening, you can still use the old site but also check out the re-designed Lomography Magazine, try out the new search functionality and browse through all the amazing photos on the site!

We would like to already take this opportunity to thank everyone who has helped us by testing our new site and who has given us feedback on it. We hope you will all love the new site design as much as we do!

@lomography ...I was present for the transition from Old Lomography to Present Lomography. How is the Bug Count and Stability on your New Lomography? The Present Lomography was heinous for months and still has Issues of occasional Jumping Pages, Cursor Loss, and Links Breaking. So, Good Luck, Please!!

@tomas_bates how about all of my photo, wall, article at this site? Is it automatically move to the new site?

@herbert-4 - We are hoping the transition will be smooth and we will have a lot fewer bugs than when we launched the current site. We have of course been working very hard over the past months to make sure everything is as ready as can be for the re-launch. But please also be patient with us on this, as inevitably some things will still need to be worked on and fixed and we will work to do this as soon as we can! And if you do spot anything please get in touch with us and we will work to resolve it. Thanks!

@hervinsyah - Yes all your content will be moved. Your photos and articles will show up right away once the move has been completed. However, some features (such as LomoWalls) will still take a bit more time to be implemented on the new site. But as soon as the features have been reinstated within the new site, your content will show there.
