Swing by the Bear Pit Open Gallery in Bristol on Thursday, July 10, and witness the launch of the third phase of Justin Quinnell's "Awfulogrammes" exhibition! Details after the jump.
Pinhole photography master Justin Quinnell has been making waves in Bristol with “Awfulogrammes,” an ongoing three-phase exhibit showcasing the photographs he took using his own technique of the same name, which makes use of a camera made out of a soda or beer can. Phase three of his exhibit, “The Awfullo,” is set to be launched tomorrow, July 10, at the Bear Pit Open Gallery in Bristol, England, along with a 15-minute lunchtime tour at 12:30.
“The Awfullo” is series of super close-up pinhole photographs which Quinnell describes as “a pinhole interpretation of the children’s book ‘The Gruffalo’ which seemed like a good idea at the time!” To get a glimpse of Quinnell’s exhibit, you may watch the video below, which is a brief guided tour of the “Awfulogramme” by the photographer’s son Louis!
