Follow the trail of the mysterious girl in red in today's featured album!
June marks the 30th anniversary of the LC-A, and to kick off the month-long festivities, we think it’s only apt that today’s awesome album casts the spotlight on this beloved camera. As we’re browsing through the latest LC-A, LC-A+, and even LC-Wide uploads in the community, these vibrant photos by Gifu, Japan’s gocchin immediately caught our attention! Taken with Lomography’s reinvention of the LC-A, the LC-A+, most of the photos here featured a girl in a red dress (and, in some photos, a woman in white), and in all cases except for one her face remained hidden. The concept, combined with the high-contrast colors and detail make for a fascinating photo series!
I don’t know about you, but this eye-catching series reminds me of Little Red Riding Hood – sort of its 21st century counterpart, that is. See the rest of the photos in gocchin’s RED IN THE FOREST album here!
The Awesome Albums series is exactly what it says on the tin — it’s a love letter of sorts from the Editors addressed to user-uploaded albums that had caught their eye and had inadvertently fallen in love with. Please understand though, they’re really just here to express their love and nothing more.
