The New Russar+ Lens: Compatible With A Wide Range of Cameras!

Our fantastic new lens, the Russar+ is compatible with a wide range of digital and analogue cameras - find out more about the Russar+ and camera compatibility here!

The New Russar+ a stunning reinvention of the legendary 1958 Russar – pioneering a famous wide angle lens design that was founded in Russia over half a century ago. As well as a brass body and chrome plating for durability and premium quality, thanks to its modified lens tube construction, the New Russar+ is now compatible with L39 and M mount analogue cameras and digital mirrorless cameras and lots of other cameras using adaptor mounts.

The New Russar+ is a screw mount lens which works with L39/M39 cameras. L39 is often also commonly referred to as LSM (Leica Screw Mount) and LTM (Leica Thread Mount). The FED range of cameras also use the L39/M39 mount.

The New Russar+ also comes with an adaptor so you can use the lens right away with M mount cameras too. All Leica M series cameras use the M mount.

Using adaptor mounts (sold separately), the New Russar+ becomes compatible with even more cameras. For example, you can use the Russar+ on the following using adaptors:

Russar+ on a Sony a7

Sony Alpha Cameras (Sony A7 and Sony A7R) using an L39 or Leica M to E mount Adaptor.

Russar+ on Panasonic Lumix GF3

Micro 4/3 cameras (Panasonic Lumix or Olympus PEN) using an L39 or Leica M to M 4/3 Adaptor.

Russar+ on Sony NEX6

Sony α NEX cameras (such as Sony NEX 5 and Sony NEX 7) using an L39 or Leica M to E mount Adaptor.

Fujifilm X Mount cameras (such as the Fuji X-Pro 1) using an L39 or Leica M to X Mount Adaptor.

The New Russar+ has been precisely calibrated and designed to work with compatible digital cameras.

how many old cameras have an M-42 mount... LOTS, LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS! Please make something for them since so many M-42 bodies are around in the hands of film users world wide that it would be a huge market to tap into and us photographers with an M-42 mount SLR would love to have a funked out lens just for us!

Odd that it costs $600, when a Voigtlander 15mm is sharper, wider, better built, less prone to falling apart, a stop faster, and costs only $450. Did I mention the Heliar comes with an accessory viewfinder as well?

@saintmuno ... or the other way round: Thinking of all the M42 lenses lying unused around the world, I hope someone makes an M42 digital body. Maybe Cosina, who made the latest analog M42 body in the shape of Voigtländer Bessaflex TM? Maybe the Lomography people should have a meeting with Cosina?

tamron adaptall. they should be using that mount tbh, its the most universal mount thats out there (fits nikon without optical adapater) this lens is a classic rangefinder lens reworked abit, so its not suited to slr type systems, but it is annoying they dont produce lenses in a mount thats useable on classic cameras, and those like me that shoot something other than canikon :\
