Attention, pinhole photography enthusiasts! New Mexico History Museum is set to showcase pinhole snaps from around the world in an exhibit that coincides with World Pinhole Photography Day.
Entitled “Poetics of Light,” the exhibit, which will feature masterpieces from the world’s largest collection of pinhole photos, will open on April 27th, 2014 — in time with World Pinhole Photography Day celebrations — and will run until March 2015. That means there’s plenty of time to catch the exhibit at the New Mexico History Museum, but for those in the area who are looking into making April 27th a day for everything pinhole, it’s an occasion that shouldn’t be missed!
The museum’s Palace of the Governors Photo Archives, the state of New Mexico’s largest photography archive, recently merged with the Pinhole Resource Archive. The collection, which boasts of the world’s largest collection of images, books, and cameras, was donated by the Pinhole Resource Inc., led by Eric Renner and Nancy Spencer.
