Our Analogue Photo Petzval Shoot At Lomography HQ

From its vintage 19th century design to the fantastic, creative and unique photos it produces, the Lomography x Zenit New Petzval Art Lenses just oozes analogue. We set up a mini photo studio at Lomography HQ a few days ago and got snap happy with the New Petzval attached to the Canon EOS 5 film camera. Check out the results after the jump!

Shooting with the New Lomography Petzval Lens couldn’t feel more analogue. You hold a brass lens in your hand, slip in one of the traditional Waterhouse stop aperture plates and manually focus using the focusing knob on the side of the lens. And, of course, you then end up with vintage feeling photos with are sharp in the center but are out of focus on the edges. For this fun photo-shoot we did at Lomography HQ in Vienna, we attached the New Petzval Lens to a Canon EOS 5 film camera and shot the photos using Lomography X-Pro 200 Film. We love the results and hope you guys do too!
