Awesome Albums: Perutz 100 Chrome very very very expired by freshmeat_omd

The lomographer behind these intriguing snaps couldn't have stressed any further that the film used was very much expired. Have a peek and tell us what you think of the photos from a very very very expired Perutz 100 Chrome!

Who hasn’t gotten curious about expired film? As experimental film photographers, we’ve all dabbled with — or thought about playing with — expired films of all kinds and varying expiry dates to see what look or feel they bring to our photos. One of our fellow lomographers, freshmeat_omd from Rome, Italy, recently loaded his Olympus OM 10 with what he called a “very very very expired” Perutz 100 Chrome, and the results, we have to say, are really interesting. Here, take a look:

Aside from liking its marvelous tones, our fellow lomographer also noticed that the photos vaguely resemble the snaps taken using the LomoChrome Purple XR 100 – 400. Do you agree?

The Awesome Albums series is exactly what it says on the tin — it’s a love letter of sorts from the Editors addressed to user-uploaded albums that had caught their eye and had inadvertently fallen in love with. Please understand though, they’re really just here to express their love and nothing more.
