Awesome Albums: Masquerade by kekskonstrukt

Simplicity is the keyword in today's awesome album, but, as with many things, you'll find that the simple things are also often the most effective.

Last year, our fellow lomographer from Linz, Austria kekskonstrukt thought of doing a black and white themed photoshoot using the Lubitel 166+, a roll of expired Rollei Retro 100, and a couple of blank masks she bought in Venice. The plan was to make everything contrast against each other, so she painted one of the masks black, made her models wear either black or white clothes, and set them against a black or white background.

It may not involve anything elaborate, but we think it perfectly shows how the simplest things, ideas, and concepts can still be amazing and impressive!

You can read more about the photos and the ideas behind the shoot on kekskonstrukt’s blog post!

The Awesome Albums series is exactly what it says on the tin — it’s a love letter of sorts from the Editors addressed to user-uploaded albums that had caught their eye and had inadvertently fallen in love with. Please understand though, they’re really just here to express their love and nothing more.
