A Lomokino Movie Projector would be great! In fact some time ago I was thinking about fusing a Lomokinoscope with a slide projector for building one, but I'm not shure thats it, the post says "Launching tomorrow, this new sensation will allow you to enjoy a whole new way of enjoying shooting analogue photos" so its a new way of enjoying shooting photos, not movies, it might not be a camera...

Personally, I just hope it's a better version of the Lomokino that would allow longer films.
Or a spring-powered high speed camera...

Unless the real clue is in in the "almost this instant" part of the message.
Maybe it's more than that. Instant 35mm slide film like the old Polaroid Polacolor!

I might be dreaming in technicolor...

Francois, I have one of the old Polaroid slide film developers and it has a crank on it very similar to the one shown in the photo, so maybe? I hope so because that was some beautiful film!

@gaypunk, i also thought about that, but I think something like that would have a more "soft" noise wouldn't it? because this crank noise is more like a thing full of gears and mechanical craziness, it probably is a camera, because they've said it "will allow you to enjoy a whole new way of enjoying shooting analogue photos", I'm really excited about this thingy!

@mrjtrek, mine was pretty noisey, it has been a long time since I used it, but I remember it sounding quite a bit like the audio clip above. Plus it was full of gears and mechanical craziness :-)

They can get a bit noisy even if there is a film with the processing pack in them. Think of it as a crank actuated polaroid with a very long film in it... it's geared to make the film unspool faster.
Polaroid also had a motorized version that cost an arm and a leg when it came out.

I don't understand. Why does a polaroid need a crank? Why is a polaroid back even… why?

It's a motor-less system... a bit like the old Kodak Handle instant cameras...
I must admit I'm a bit uninspired by this one...
