When we think of Milan, we automatically think of it as an Italian fashion capital and a home to age-old architecture. Glamorous couture and the ornate structures come to mind, but we hardly think of scenes of simple everyday life could look like.
Our Photo of the Day gives us a different view of Milan. It was taken by gionnired at Milan’s Central Railway Station using no less than a Hasselblad 500 C/M loaded with Kodak E100VS 120 film.
Here is what he has to say regarding the winning shot:
I was looking for a nice spot to photograph in Central Railway station in Milano, after few minutes spent walking around the place finding nothing that attracted my attention, I decided to give up and go to the exit of the station. Well, this was the best decision! Near the exit I was surprised to see the strong light from the sunset entering from the entrance of the station. That’s what I was looking for!
Very well said, gionnired. Congratulations!
