A Night Out with the Petzval (D)SLR Art Lens
We stepped out for a fun night-out at the Prater Amusement Park in Vienna – armed with a camera and the first Petzval (D)SLR Art Lens sample. See how this lens turns the night into artistic and cinematic delights!
New Petzval Photos
We’ve been taking the Petzval (D)SLR Art Lens around town the past few days and have new photos from our first working prototype. In the next few days, we will be showing you exclusive shots taken from new prototypes which we will receive this week so stay tuned. Check out more photos in our Microsite.
Updated Petzval Pledge Caps
We are now now limiting the $400 brass to a maximum of 1000 pledges and the $500 black lens pledges to 200. This is because we want to ensure all backers that we can produce enough lenses in the time period we promised.

The new Lomography Petzval (D)SLR Art Lens is a reinvention of the legendary portrait glass lens that first appeared in the 19th century. Our version is a high-quality glass optic that makes it possible for Canon and Nikon analogue and digital SLR mount cameras to yield the famous Petzval look – sharp focus areas with unique bokeh effects, strong color saturation, and artful vignettes. It’s a distinct look that goes far beyond using photo editing software and filters.
