Long Exposures, 150 Years in the Making

If you're going through all the trouble of re-enacting the Civil War, why settle for digital photography when you can go the whole hog with a centuries old photographic process?

Upon watching the video, Wet plate photographer Rob Gibson utters four words that immediately resonate within us analogue lovers – “flame-keepers of the past”. While there’s no stopping technology, there’s always a yearning for simpler times (or in cases like this, more complicated) that offer more artistically. Gibson goes on to say how this whole passion of his is the "perfect combination of history, technology and art.” Can’t beat that.
