Remember the first music video shot entirely using the LomoKino? There’s more of those gloriously lo-fi music videos sprouting from all corners of cyberspace, and they’re not only getting likes; they’ve also started to gain recognition. We just got word that the impressive music video shot by lomographer and director Matt Skwid the song Long Spun Thread by Gabe Levine is one of the official entries for this year’s Sprockets Music Video Festival organized by Film Athens.

The Sprockets Music Video Festival is an annual competition held held in Athens, Georgia USA, and seeks to find the best music videos from all over the world, and boasts of having five established professionals from the film and music industry to judge the entries each year. This year’s entries are scheduled to be screened for everyone to see tomorrow, June 15. Check out their event schedule here if you’d like to learn more!
