Violet-Tinted Film Photos of Theophilus London by Dexter Navy

Young UK-based film photographer Dexter Navy has this spunky spontaneous style that we love and his images have made their way to popular publications such as i-D magazine. Last year, he shot upcoming rapper Theophilus London and the purplish pictures got us excited for the forthcoming Lomochrome Purple film!

Distinguishable by his trademark cap and glasses, fronting bare attitude, Theophilus London is the Brooklyn rap-star who likes to shoot pool in Efes and eat chicken at Nandos.

We recently (re)found this i-D interview on the swaggalicious Brooklyn-based hip-hop artist and we really love the analogue photographs captured by Dexter Navy. We’re not sure what kind of film he used, but we’re totally digging the purple infrared-look. It reminds us of the eye-opening Congo’s Conflict in Infrared by Richard Mosse and inspires us to try shooting our own trippy IR Lomographs!

Luckily, we are now accepting the second batch of pre-orders for LomoChrome Purple film in both 35mm and 120 formats! This unique colour negative film will astound you by transforming every green element of your photo in a radiant purple photographic result. A revival of the psychedelic infrared look from the Kodak Aerochrome film we all love.
