Phoenix Sings 'SOS in Bel Air' in Latest Album 'Bankrupt!'

We're not sure if the French alternative rock band is referring to the Belair X 6-12 camera, but the tune sure is catchy! That's just one of the 10 tracks off Phoenix's latest album "Bankrupt!" which drops today. Listen to the song and find out which "vintage" movie they had a cameo in here!

Phoenix waxes poetic about several interesting things in their newest album Bankrupt!, including the famous perfume Drakkar Noir, chemical compound Chloroform, and even Entertainment! One of the most anticipated records of the year, we were ecstatic to find out that they’ve written a song called SOS in Bel Air. Could it be about our Belair X 6-12? Have a listen and tell us what you think!

Now we don’t know for sure what it’s really about, but it’s a tune that’s currently stuck in our heads, along with the rest of the indie pop/rock Phoenix is known for. And here’s a fun fact: did you know that the band made a cameo appearance in the 2006 adaptation of “Marie Antoinette”? That’s because lead vocalist Thomas Mars often collaborates with his filmmaker wife, Sofia Coppola!
