A wise man named Confucius once said that if you do what you love for a living, then you’ll never work a day in your life. London-based photographer and cinematographer Toby Lockerbie thinks otherwise.
“I take photos and shoot videos for a living, and sometimes necessity dulls the magic; so once a year, I get away and shoot for fun.”
Set to the familiar orchestral tune of In the Hall of the Mountain King by Edvard Grieg, this short but brilliant mini-documentary from Lockerbie succinctly explains how he rediscovers the magic and the euphoria that photography brings him.
“But that’s why I love cameras. That elusive next image[?] It’s always worth it. That hit of euphoria when you nail that shot[?] It’s magic.”
