Christie’s to Auction Warhol Works Online

Ever dreamt of owning an authentic Warhol piece? Then you’re in luck as Christie’s International will conduct its first online-only auction and sale of Warhol’s work starting February 26.

For the first time ever, Christie’s International will conduct an online auction, in partnership with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, starting from February 26 until March 5, 2013.

The items on sale will compose of about 125 paintings, drawings, photographs, and prints made by Warhol, and can be previewed online at the Christie’s website.

Bidders can browse, bid, receive instant updates by email or mobile if another bid exceeds theirs, organize shipping, and pay from anywhere in the world.

Proceeds from the sales will benefit the Warhol Foundation’s grant-making programs which support artists and non-profit arts organizations.

time to bury him and move on from his legacy, you got to destroy and rebuild... otherwise you are just repeating the same thing over and over! the trap in his legacy is that it is very profitable... have an artist draw a famous people and they'll sell it thousands! artists, it's on you to invent something new, but for that you have to kill the market, the auctions and andy warhol! 26years of the same is just too much! i beg of you... we the people need fresh art as we need fresh air...
