Enjoy Some More Scans Made With the Smartphone Film Scanner!

Thanks for pledging for our new Smartphone Film Scanner on Kickstarter! Next month, the first final scanners will be shipped to everyone who pledged for it. Can't wait? Enjoy another gallery of test scans made with the scanner!

Our first Kickstarter Project, the Smartphone Film Scanner has been a true success. Over $260,000 was pledged, enabling us to provide everyone who loves film with a great product. As a little thank you here are some more test scans made with a prototype of the final scanner. Our community member vgzalez has scanned some of his great analogue shots. He scanned the negatives with his iPhone 3GS. Enjoy the galleries!

Here’s what vgzalez had to say about his experience with the scanner: The process was absolutely unpainful. The pics magically passed from my iPhone to my laptop via iCloud. On my Mac, I inverted the colors and adjusted color and contrast automatically photo editing software to merge the panoramas.I was absolutely stunned by how easy to use the scanner is and how good the results are you can get with such a simple tool. Furthermore, with the wireless synchronization, I got my scans immediately ready to share with my friends and any social network from my phone and my laptop. I also found out that it is very useful to get an idea of how a negative will look like after inverting the colors in just a few seconds."

You can buy the scanner online or Find a Store

just wondering, will the app have the function of inverting the colours...? it'll be a downside if the inversion will still need to be done on photo editing programme on a computer..

@myloft Sure! I just did it on my computer because the app was not still available for testing when I scanned these shots. But the app will invert colors, enable the scanning of panoramic pics and allow you to record your lomokino movies! :)

Does anyone know if a Galaxy Note II will fit in the smartphone holder? That's the ridiculously large 5.1 inch "phablet" phone. (Which I love, BTW)
