Will the Zenit Lens Work With Your Camera?

It's easy to why the Russian-made Zenit lenses are so hard to resist. They guarantee sharp photos and they work with a variety of SLR cameras too! But before getting yourself one of these gorgeous lenses, make sure that they're compatible with your camera.

All Zenit lenses have the M42 mount. This makes the lenses compatible with most cameras, including Cosina, Mamiya, Pentax, Praktika, Ricoh, Yashica, and Zenit models.

If you have an adaptor, this lens will also work with certain Canon, Minolta, Nikon, and Olympus cameras. Please keep in mind that in the case of certain adaptors, only manual settings may work.

Please note that images may be cropped when used with non-full frame DSLRs!

One small detail, but saying it will work with most cameras is misleading. It will work with all M42 screwmount cameras (also called Pentax Universal Mount or just simply Universal Mount). However, most cameras don't use this very old camera mount.
