Take a break from the norm! Why not try a new and unique way of taking multiple exposure shots by using silhouettes instead? Here at the Lomography Gallery Store Singapore, equipped with the ever-so-mighty LC-A+, our Redux 90s workshop participants were all gung-ho about learning this new skill! Read on to find out more!
A bright and sunny Sunday was the perfect weather for some silhouette photography! In collaboration with Lomography’s 20th anniversary, we had some toys from the 1990s, which included styrofoam airplanes and birds, inflatable paper balls and balloon glue! Our Store Representative Melissa led our LC-A+ aspiring enthusiasts and together we learnt more about taking silhouette shots!
Silhouettes can help add more emotion and meaning to your Lomographs. Shooting silhouettes is simpler than it sounds as you basically just need the sun or any strong light source (i.e. standing lamps!). Strong subjects with creative shapes can produce creative outlines, which make amazing frames for the second shot. Our participants had some pretty creative ideas up their sleeves for crazy, eye-popping objects for the silhouette shots, such as side profiles, umbrellas, trees and even the using their own hands and fingers!
Check out some of these interesting Lomographs taken by a couple of our participants!
