The Belair X 6-12 City Slicker: Daily Life in Hong Kong Part 2

Here are more photos from my second test run with the Belair X 6-12. I'm happy to share them with you, and tidbits about the city of Hong Kong. Enjoy!

On the rooftops of London Hong Kong… I’m not a chimney sweep but I’ve always had a morbid sort of curiosity (being it was life-threatening) for the profession, as it were in Victorian times. In Hong Kong, the rooftops of many of the old building-block looking buildings have been renovated, disallowing any of the building’s inhabitants to use the space for their washing, storage, or in extreme cases, as a make-shift extension of their apartment (somewhat resembling a displaced section of a shantytown).

I’m on top of a friend’s roof this time, in the late afternoon. This is Ma Tau Wai, Kowloon City. You’ll have heard of this area as historically, it was the site of one of Hong Kong’s multiple walled villages.

Here’s another view.

Look out below! Seriously, look at all that grime… I wonder if someone’s having their lunch under that umbrella. Their enclave looks pretty spick-and-span!

Here we are standing on a balcony in Sheung Wan. Another escape from a large building’s magnetic force. As you’ll see, from the last photo, it’s in fact a very narrow A/C Platform.

You don’t have to be lucky to test the Belair X 6-12 as the limited-time 15% off regular price offer is still on! Take your own camera out as soon as your round of cameras are deployed as we’re offering free film with each Belair purchase till 29 November, 2012.
