This Halloween, Manchester city centre was overrun with zombies! As four intrepid Ghostbusters led them back to hell, we joined the slow, foot-dragging undead through Manchester city centre on their quest for BRAAAIIINS!
What: MCR Zombie Walk
Where: Manchester City Centre
When: Sunday 28th October, 6pm
The MCRZombieWalk was organised by “the Manchester Ghostbusters” in aid of The Big Issue North so we couldn’t help but get involved and dug deep in our pockets to contribute as well as taking a few snaps of the event!
People had come from far and wide in their best zombie costumes and some of the most incredible make-up we’ve ever seen! Now, in all the zombie movies we’ve seen the heroes always have a shotgun loaded with shells to hand, unfortunately we didn’t have that at our disposal, so instead went for an Olympus OM-10 loaded with Lomography Colour Negative 800iso. Perfect for shooting in low light conditions!
One of the best things about zombies is that they’re slow-moving, it’s tough being undead so we had more than enough energy to keep up with the crowd. We spotted a zombie bride and groom outside the cathedral so had to snap the happy couple, although they didn’t look too happy about being undead…
Just when we thought we’d seen every thing we spotted Leeds’ CitySlicker, Claire Worrall, the zombie nun! We managed to snap her with zombie Jesus! She’d made the trip with her trusty LC-A+ and Diana Flash. You can check out the Zombie Walk from her perspective here!
Congratulations to all the volunteers involved for creating such a great event with loads of money raised for good causes and also a fun evening!
