Slicing Through A Leica

Ever wondered what it would be like to have X-ray vision? How about possessing X-ray vision AND a Leica M6 camera? We found this illustration that shows us what it's like to have both and it is looking pretty cool! Do you know who the artist is?

We found this image on Tumblr and just had to share it with you guys! Above is a color drawing of the Leica M6—a rangefinder produced in Germany between 1984 to 1998—which appears to be sliced and spliced in strategic areas to reveal the inner workings of the classic camera. You can even see a bit of 35mm film lead in.

The illustration reminds us of “Under the Lens,” the photographic experiment which involved cutting through an actual Leica lens (gasp!) and it’s super cool! We love how 80’s it is too with its hand-drawn, color pencil-looking finish. Unfortunately, we were not able to find out who the artist is so if you’ve got any info, hit us up in the comments below!
