The First LEGOLAND Asia is in Malaysia

Have you dreamt about having a home, garden, or city built entirely of LEGO? LEGOLAND Malaysia is where you can indulge in your childhood fantasies without traveling to Europe or the US! Malaysia's first international theme park opened September 2012 and is already rerouting tourism to most Asian landmarks - their colorful, creative miniatures an architectural accomplishment in their own right with over 30 million LEGO bricks used! So, won't you be the next journeyer to the first Asian LEGOLAND?

The latest (sixth) LEGO theme park in the world is also the first one in Asia! The first LEGOLAND was opened in Denmark in 1968, with those of Britain, California, Florida, and Germany trailing . Unlike it’s European conterparts, Legoland Malaysia is opened year round owing to Johor’s tropical weather! With over 40 rides, shows and attractions located in the 76-acre theme park, your regression to childhood’ll be complete by the time you leave the park grounds!

The host and neighboring nation’s landmarks, including the Singapore Flyer, Kuala Lumpur City and the Petronas Twin Towers, and Singapore’s Fullerton Hotel. That’s just to name a few of the iconic Asian structures showcased.

LEGOLAND Malaysia has seven themed areas including The Beginning, LEGO Technic, LEGO Kingdoms, Imagination, LEGO City, Land of Adventure and MINILAND. It’s an inspirational land where children are kings and adults are able to relive their youth. One things for sure, age doesn’t factor in when spending a day out at Legoland.

LEGOLAND Malaysia is located in the city of Nusajaya in Malaysia’s Southern state of Johor which borders Singapore. We wish you a pleasant journey to this LEGO theme park, and we look forward to see the photos you’ll share with us on Lomography Asia! Remember the park is closed Wednesdays!
