FOUND: Never Before Seen Photos of the Rolling Stones

Most of us know that when it comes to flea markets, the adage “patience is a virtue” rings true. As we go on and search in the piles and racks, eventually we find something worth the bargain -- or in Lauren White's case, a rare find.

White recently struck gold at a flea market in California. As she was browsing, a person from one stand called her over and showed her a collection of photos. As it turns out, they were photographs of the Rolling Stones back in their early days, never before seen nor published.

“I feel lucky. I really didn’t expect to find them at a flea market. […] I obviously knew it was the Stones, but it took about a week of looking them over to realize that this was really a very unique circumstance. After extensive research, I came to find that these are unpublished, never-before-seen photos of one of the most legendary bands in rock ‘n’ roll history. Not only that, they are beautifully composed, candid, raw and perfect in every way. They really convey a band innocent to their destiny.” — Lauren White, on an interview for Cool Hunting

As soon as she found out the nature of her find, White approached her friend George Augusto about it and now, the collection – aptly titled Found — is now on exhibit at the Dilettante Studio in Downtown Los Angeles, in collaboration with Apart Productions.

Found will be on exhibit until October 26, 2012.
