The racers have been called and the packages are on their way! Oh yes, we are just a few jumps away from the LC-Wide Race!

But first, how did this all happen? From the LC-A+ Race and now to the LC-Wide Race, what is the real story? Curious? Then read on!

In 2009, LomoHome owner mattcharnock thought of bringing the Community closer than it was before. Knowing that we all come from different countries spread around the globe, he pitched to the Lomography Staff a race that will make Lomographers run closer to each other! What else could it be but the LC-A Race! A race that involves writing, shipping, and of course a series of Lomography quizzes and pictorials done throughout a period of time.

The man behind the race, Matt Charnock.

With thoughts all open, the Lomography Staff (and Community!) did love the idea! So in a few months time, the LC-A race was ready to go!

A race that requires 10 teams of 10 Lomographers to work together to win. — that was how The Great LC-A Race happened! Crossing the LC-A over seas and lands, the LC-A Race sure was a fun success!

And now that the Lomography Community has become bigger and more exciting, we all have decided to bring this race back but this time with the elegant and oh so brilliant LC-Wide! This time we have made it into 5 teams of 5 Lomographers from all over the world. Sure is an exciting event to happen!

We just can’t wait like you! So keep glued to the Community as we soon bring you the LC-Wide Race! Cheers everyone!
