Every 2 years, Photokina comes back to town

Although this year “Full Format” is the word on everybody’s lips at the Cologne Trade Fair, we feel there are other real treats to be found at the so-called 'world's leading imaging fair'.

From the homage to the battery in the form of a life-size display via the Japanese Fuji Instax Mini-Stand throug to the possibility of lying down for a while on a handcrafted bed worth €25.000 and built from suppliers to the Queen, everything is provided in order to make one’s heart leap for joy.

No matter what expectation or pre-conceived idea you have there is in all certainty something for everybody to enjoy here, for instance: the marvelling of the latest advances in technology, exciting speeches conducted by top-class guest speakers, hot Fair Trade-babes, detailed information about education opportunities in the field of photography, the ‘Post-TSUNAMI’ exhibition, the chance to be photographed free in front of lively backgrounds (incl print of course), Spiderman, the ‘Samsung-Fountain’ and last but not least the knowledge, you no longer have to travel to Paris in order to get a caricature drawing of yourself.

While visiting Photokina it is usual to meet an incredible variety of people from all over the world, united because they have one thing in common: a passion and love for photography in any shape or form, analogue as well as digital.

That is precisely what could fascinate us the most and what got to experience on our 500 qm exhibition space, the “Lomography’s Analogue Circus" which entails various workshops, a Lab-Stand, the LomoKino “Magic Motion Studio” and our “Analogue Bazar.”

We are delighted that we can inspire people worldwide and across different generations to be enthusiastic about Lomography.
