Rollei, well-known for their line of high-end medium format twin lens reflex (TLR) cameras, announced that they will be introducing two new cameras for the 2012 Photokina event in Cologne, Germany next week.
First up is the Rolleiflex FX-N, an update of the Rolleiflex FX. Apart from the same specs that its predecessor has, this model features a new Heidosmat 80mm f/2.8 viewfinder lens and a Rollei S-Apogon 80mm f/2.8 main lens with a minimum focusing distance of 55cm.
Next is another updated version, this time, of the Rolleiflex Hy6, a medium format beauty manufactured in Germany that has both film and digital backs. This new model boasts a new grip, updated firmware, a reinforced tripod platen, and redesigned mechanics to reduce mirror movement.
Now excuse me while I try to regain composure, because these babies are simply a dream! (And with the hefty price tag that’s sure to come along with them, I’m pretty sure they’ll stay that way for me.) What do you guys think?
