There’s no denying that American Hollywood star and blonde bombshell Marilyn Monroe has been revered all over the world not only for her beauty, but also for her contributions in film and music. She has been the subject of many artworks by generations of international artists, including some portraits taken by British photographers.

Just in time for her 50th death anniversary, the National Portrait Gallery will be opening an exhibition come late September, focusing on her links with the United Kingdom. To be specific, Marilyn Monroe: A British Love Affair will highlight her 4-month stay in Britain. The actress was with her new husband, playwright Arthur Miller, and was set to shoot The Prince and the Showgirl with Laurence Olivier.

If you’re a Marilyn Monroe fan and have plans to visit London very soon, you might want to include this exhibit in your itinerary, and immerse yourself in portraits, rare magazine covers, vintage prints, and other Marilyn-in-Britain memorabilia:
