Manchester's 9th Eurocultured Festival in Film!

An event I always look forward to is the Eurocultured Festival as its got a varied musical policy across many different genres. Good musical line ups and the great atmosphere are perfect for getting you warmed up for the summer season! This year's street party saw 100 acts over 6 venues and 3 stages. See it in film here!

I enjoyed a polish band called Zakopower who really got everyone going with some punchy gypsy rock vibes. I since looked them up on the internet and they sound fairly dull but the performance at the time was great. The day ended with Death in Vegas who seemed to go down well.

For me it’s great to go somewhere that you will find music that you would never usually come across. You’re exposed to music that you wouldn’t usually listen to. Estate Recordings hosted the make shift music venue in the car park under the railway arch. A couple of bands caught the attention of my ears, even though they’re not the usual type of music I would listen to. Manchester band Broke ‘n’ English certainly got everyone’s head nodding. Theres lots to see and do and there are various workshops for kids and adults to get involved with over the weekend.

For me the main event has to be the live street art. Each year street artists from all over Europe come to Manchester to take part in the event and create individual pieces during the weekend.

Eurocultured festival is a great way to spend your weekend if you happen to be in Manchester over the June bank holiday!

So tell me, what are your plans for the summer? Do you plan to attend any festivals this year? Do you have any recommendations for my summer?

Big love x
