Spotted: Diana F+ Buttercup in Clio Make-Up

Diana F+ Buttercup, the one with an explosive yellow body and a green Diana flash, has been spotted in a recent TV ad of the famous italian TV show “Clio Make-Up” which is broadcast on Real Time TV channel. The spot is quite funny, as is the presenter of this peculiar TV program.

Clio Make-Up is an italian TV show about make-up tips and tricks, which has been airing on Real Time TV channel since February 2012. The history of the presenter, Clio Zammatteo, is quite peculiar and funny. Born in Belluno in 1982, Clio and graduated in the Milan Video Design University, IED (European Institute of Design). She moved to New York City with her boyfriend in order to attend the school for Professional Make-Up Artists. In 2008 she started a YouTube channel, sharing all her experience as a freelance Make-Up Artist. As the channel was growing and gaining popularity in the web, she started some collaborations with two of the most important fashion and make-up brands: Vogue and Pupa. In 2009 and 2010 she published two very successful book about homemade make-up (Rizzoli editor).

In 2012, Real Time broadcasted the first series of Clio Make-Up. Each episode is divided in two parts:

  • At first Clio helps a guest to cover some imperfections with some make-up techniques, improving her appearance.
  • Then Clio teaches some tips and tricks about make-ups for special and unusual occasions.

In the ad you can see Clio presenting her show, playing the role of an Italian 60’s woman. Some analogue objects in the spot are:
