Ain’t no party like a Diana World Tour Party! Tuesday night we launched our Diana World Tour Pop-Up Shop at the amazing Space 15 Twenty in Los Angeles and it was a total blast!
WHAT: The Diana World Tour Opening Party!
WHEN: Tuesday, June 19th; 6:00pm – 10:00pm
WHERE: Space 15 Twenty
1520 N. Cahuenga Blvd
Los Angeles, CA 90028
Guests were greeted by an awesome DJ set from Los Angeles local Juan Velasquez of Abe Vigoda and delicious gourmet hot dogs from the wonderful people at Let’s Be Frank. With the PBR flowing and the music bumping, everyone was dancing and having a great time around the centerpiece of the festivities, our traveling Dietrich Collection of original Diana clones. This rare collection will be on display throughout our stay at Space 15 Twenty and it is definitely not to be missed!
Next to the night’s very popular photo booth, photographs from local artists who shot with the Diana were on display and the photographers themselves were there to celebrate with us. Artists such as the lovely actresses Chelsea Kane and Debby Ryan, Anthony Gonzales of M83, and our very own Satomi Sugiyama have their vignettes up for charity auction, so if you are a fan, be sure to drop by the shop and make a bid.
After cutting our larger than life Diana cake, we were treated by a super special performance by Charlene Yi and the Rangdang in the Space 15 Twenty courtyard. Charlene, along with many other local Los Angeles artists, were given Dianas and made custom versions of our favorite camera, all of which are currently on display at the shop and are a wonder to behold! Contributors like fashion blogger Francesca Buenaflor, Scott Asheton of the Stooges, and designers and the super awesome store owners at Poketo really got into their clone creations, using paint, jewels, plastic toy animals, and croquet camera straps to customize their Dianas, so be sure to come check them out.
Overall, the night was an awesome time, filled with classic cameras, fun music, good friends and delicious cake. This was a fantastic way to kick off our pop-up shop residency at Space 15 Twenty and the Los Angeles stop on the Diana World Tour! We’ll be open for the next few weeks, so please stop by, attend a workshop and learn more about the Diana camera that we hold so dear!
