WHAT: Building the World’s first Permanent Public LomoWall!
WHEN: Week commencing 9th July for 2 weeks
WHERE: Lomography Gallery Store Manchester/Piccadilly Basin
That’s right! We’re going to be building the first ever permanent public LomoWall as part of the 2012 Canal Festival. The LomoWall will be assembled from 14,000 Lomographs on a 30 metre long, 3 metre high wall on Tariff Street, Manchester! We couldn’t make this amazing project a success without your help, so we’re looking for volunteers who want to be a part of Lomography history!
So, what are we looking for, exactly?
You will need to be available full-time from the 9th of July for 2 weeks while we assemble all of the Lomographs and arrange them. You will also need to be available in the week commencing 23rd of July for put the wall into place. Although this will be on a voluntary basis, payment will be discussed with both money and cameras!
Key Skills Required:
Patience is essential- The LomoWall will be constructed from 14,000 individual prints, that’s a whole load of Lomographs!
Attention to detail- Up close viewers will be able to appreciate each picture in its own right but those who take a step back will be able to experience the Wall in a whole new way!
Punctuality and reliability- This is going to be a huge project and will require us to work as a team!
