We’re loving the vibe at Cannes, especially all this Marilyn Monroe action. We’re loving it so much, we’ve decided to have an extra special competition for those of you who come visit our booth. So, the point of this Lomokino contest is for you to reshoot one of Marilyn’s famous scenes, be they from her movies or from footage of her. Not sure what to do? Here are some tips:

  1. Singing “Happy Birthday” for John F. Kennedy
  2. Marilyn’s skirt blowing scene from New York
  3. or any other scene from the movie “My week with Marilyn”

Head over to out booth, grab a Lomokino right now, ask our staff to help you to insert the film and shoot! After your you’ve exposed the whole film, bring it back to the Lomography booth and we will rewind, develop and scan the film for you. In around 3 weeks after the festival you will find your movie here.

Don’t really fancy Marilyn Monroe?
You can also show us “how to show off” at the Cannes film festival! Do this either on the red carpet, at the beach, the promenade, etc.

Think first, shoot later:
One 35mm film roll gives you a film of around 45 seconds – Means that you have to manage your time very wisely and get to the point fast! Alternatively, you can of course also try to shoot more scenes on 1 roll… Just wind the handle 10 – 20 times – scene done, go to the next spot – another 20 winds etc. This can lead to great video output!

Prizes:
After watching all the movies the Lomography Jury will choose 6 winners (3 from each category), these lucky people will win a Lomokino Mubi Edition!

Hurry up! We’ll only be there until the 25th of May!
