Living History Performance at the People’s History Museum
Saturday 5th May, 12pm
For the final workshop we’re hosting in collaboration with the People’s History Museum for their Young Photographer’s competition, we’re going to be basing a workshop at their museum!
That’s right, the good folks over at the People’s History Museum are going to put on a Living History Performance .
Living History performance: Read All About It! – Papers, Protest & Peterloo
Meet James Bronterre O’Brien, editor of Victorian newspaper, the Poor Man’s Guardian. Accompany Bronterre on a march to Peterloo and uncover the stories of the day. Please note that this performance will be photographed by entrants for our Protest Photography Competition. Family Friendly activity, suitable for over 7s to adults.
So that’s their part, what about ours? Well, we’re going to do a presentation beforehand on the Sprocket Rocket and then we’re allowed to take photos all through the performance!
Tickets are £15 and include a presentation, lend-a-camera filled with a roll of film, 10% off processing and the Living History Performance!
This is all in conjunction with the competition, People’s History Museum are running with us as guest judges, so get shooting and submitting. All information can be seen here.
Pancho Ballard Goes Seamless!
Have you met Panchoballard yet? Well he’s one our most active Lomographers up here in the north and we’ve invited him along to come and host a special workshop where he shares his preferred shooting techniques with YOU!
Saturday 12th May, 2pm
So Panchoballard aka Darren has very kindly agreed to come to the Lomography Gallery Store Manchester and host a workshop on one of his preferred shooting techniques.. the endless panorama! You can achieve this on many Lomography products and this particular workshop will be doing it using the Diana Mini!
So roll up and meet one of the most active community members in the North West!

Results Night At The People’s History Museum
Friday May 18th, 6-8pm at The People’s History Museum, Manchester
Have we mentioned that The People’s History Museum in Manchester is hosting a Young Photographers Competition and we’re the judges? Well, we are! And this is the results night!
All young photographers unite, and submit your analogue photos along the theme of “Protest” for the chance to win some awesome prizes! Results night is on Friday 18th May at 6pm, and we’re on the judging panel! For all further info please check here.
Double The Film, Double The Fun

Double up your film at Lomography Gallery Store Manchester! It’s time to get creative! We’ve given you enough introduction workshops, so now it’s time to try something a bit more experimental.
That’s right, we all know that Lomography is all about getting creative and experimental with your shots, so here’s your chance!
We’re going to load up some cameras with DOUBLE film! That’s right, two, not one, and get some awesome effects onto your photos!
Tickets are £15 and include a lend-a-camera filled DOUBLY with film and 10% off the processing!

Summer is almost here, and the LomoKino loves nothing more than sunshine! So let us go forth and make glorious, sun filled movies!
That’s right, the sun has got his hat on (we can only hope!) and it’s time to make some summery themed movies! So head on down to Lomography Gallery Store Manchester and we’ll set you up with everything you could possibly need to make your own analogue movie on the LomoKino!
