Designer Michael Hansen has come up with a unique double-sided vinyl that doubles as a visual experience when the record is played. More on this after the jump.
Designer Michael Hansen works as a freelance designer for various entities. This includes creating logos for companies, designing websites, packaging, and album covers. For one of his latest projects, he has created a one-of-a-kind double-sided vinyl for the record of modern classical composer Allan Gravgaard Madsen.
The design on the surface of each side represents the song being played. On one side, there’s Crystal Tapestry represented by crystal-like angular designs. On the other side, there are dots that represent Waves. View the video below to see how the designs look like when played.
According to Michael Hansen, the idea behind it was to translate the music into a visual experience. I personally wouldn’t mind exchanging my mp3 player for a record player if I had vinyl records like this. What do you think? Leave your comments below!
