Is there a more appropriate title for a diy photography exhition showcasing amateur photographers than "these photographs deserve walls"? I don't think so either. Read more about this exhibit in Lisbon, Portugal after the jump.
You might remember last year’s interview with Portuguese self-taught photographer Carlos Sol, the founder of we love film project. It’s quite an interesting article so if you haven’t read it, do it now!
The project is now organizing a photography exhibition for the first time, called “estas fotografias merecem paredes” (“these photographs deserve walls”).
This will contain 18 black and white analogue photos from 14 different people that the we love film project has met since its beginnings two years ago, so even though most of these photographers don’t know each other, they are somewhat connected. This display of works emphasizes the idea that photographs should not be seen behind screens or monitors and that the digital file is definitely not the end of the creative process.
