Sometimes it feels like there is just too much colorful awesomeness to be caught on film in West Hollywood. What better way to take advantage of our photogenic locale than multiple-exposure film swaps with La Sardina.
With Valentine’s Day approaching, the Lomography Gallery Store LA decided to celebrate with a multiple-exposure film swap workshop. We invited our local Lomographers to join us for a light lunch and walk around West Hollywood. Some brought their sweeties and others swapped film with new-found friends.
It was a beautiful, sunny southern California day… perfect weather for a walk around the neighborhood. We had both veteran and new Lomographers in attendance. After a quick presentation on the basics of shooting multiple exposures, and an overview of our camera of choice that day, the beautiful La Sardina, we set off on our Saturday adventure.
Some of the attendees went their own way towards the heart of West Hollywood, but most headed towards the intersection of Melrose and Fairfax and then back up through the neighborhood between Santa Monica Blvd. and Melrose Ave. Everyone swapped a roll of film with their chosen film-pal around the halfway mark and returned to the Gallery store with two rolls to eagerly anticipate having developed instead of just one!
