How many cameras does it take to cover a van? No, this is not a trick question involving calculating the surface area of a van and then dividing it by the shape and size of an average camera. After the jump, read about a man who did this and how many cameras he ended up using.
It all started as a dream for Harrod Blank, a dream all lomographers can identify with. In that dream, Blank envisioned a car covered in cameras that he could drive around and take pictures with. Two years later, the dream was a reality! So, how many cameras did it take? 2700 to be exact.

wow .. I really like the van as artistic project - cool idea and execution, but in the same moment I have to think - what a stupid idea wasting 2700 cameras O___O ... I'm so jealous I would love to have some of the cameras on this van :) ..
Dont worry about the cameras.. Im sure most were doa camera that were bought at flea markets.. I mean were not talking some amazing leica's here.. most look like consumer junk

Harrod Blank is also a film maker and has made the film's ART CARS and Automorphosis He has been shooting a film for over 18 years about Burning Man. He also is building an Art Car museum
and has toured the U.S. and has traveled over seas with his Art Cars.
