Baku Maeda is a Japan-based illustrator who has participated in different exhibitions all over the world. Lately, he has been working on a new project but instead of using pens and paintbrushes, he uses ribbons and fabric. He calls this new art project ‘Ribbonesia’. For this project, he focused on creating animals with the ribbons, since he is also interested in wildlife. Each creation is made by hand and the colors of the ribbons are carefully chosen so that no two creations are the same.
