Finding graphics and art to illustrate articles is not an easy feat for most online publications. Luckily, we here at Lomography have a plethora of great images to illustrate our points. Just take a look at the Photos Section and see for yourselves, you will be hard pressed to not find an image that you think illustrates what you are trying to say. But, if you are thinking of using someone else’s image, make sure you get their permission first, we don’t want you getting in trouble for copyright infringement.

But, for the people at the New York Times, it is not always so easy. We stumbled across this great analogue piece of art that was created to illustrate an article on late adopters of new technology and were pleasantly surprised to learn that, there is a, “big push to introduce new illustrators to the page”. Check out the artist’s blog for more on how her piece was selected.

Brilliant. And I think it probably gets better reception than I do.

Haha, I don't have a smartphone (and I'm really not planning to get one either- I'm the kind of person who still owns a vcr player and didn't have dvd player until 6 weeks ago, you know), but I would get such a one...

Really good point!! I'm old, but I do have a cell phone that is mostly just a phone, and think that most smart phones are just objects of status and obsession, and that need to be snatched from their owners, thrown against the wall, and stepped on many times with hobnailed boots. This could be excellent gainful employment for unemployed Goth Grrrls in frilly dresses. Enjoyable image.
