Every year, Atlanta's mid-town shuts down for an incredible 3-day party, ending on Sunday with the annual Gay Pride Parade. Here are some shots from this year's parade.
In past years, I could get close as a photographer. In the past couple of years, due to large crowds and security issues, barricades keep everyone from flooding the streets. I can use my digital to get past this roadblock, but why! While I didn’t get the close-up shots I wanted, here are some from two Lomography cameras I took with me.
I loaded the Diana F+ with black and white film and I also took the Sprocket Rocket and shot some Rollei Crossbird film. The parade is so colorful and you might wonder why I would shoot in black and white, but every year I find that I enjoy the contrast of the black and white shots. The light leaks came out nice in a couple of the shots!
Thanks to Atlanta for hosting such an incredible Pride weekend!
