Surely when you were kids you played the game of telephone, where you sat in a circle and whispered something into the ear of the person next to you, and then that person told the person next to them and so on and so forth until you got to the end. And you waited in anticipation to see what the last person had heard, which always came out sounding totally different from what you said in the first place….
