Lomography UK are looking for Student CitySlickers to write for us!

We are looking for students who want to get more involved in the international Lomography Community. You will become an ambassador for Lomography in your town or city, as well as a well known contributor to the Lomography Magazine, and get freebies, opportunities and LomoLove from us! Sound good to you? Read on my friend!

Do you want to share your city with the world?
Do you love Lomography?
Are you a student?
Then you could be one of our brand new Student CitySlickers!

What the hell is a CitySlicker?

A CitySlicker is a student hand picked by Lomography who regularly writes interesting lifestyle pieces about life in their town. Each month Lomography will set a writing task for all the CitySlickers, for instance….

‘Review a clubnight in your town or city’
‘Try out the brand new XXX camera and write about your experience’
‘Fill us in on life at your uni’

…….or something similar!

You will get the chance to get your hands on a range of Lomography products, gifts and goodies from us, and support in publishing and publicising your writing. We also often get invited to festivals and events around the country that we can’t go to, so we will be happy to pass these on to you from time to time so you can go and shoot them and review them as your monthly task. Alternatively if there is an event you particularly want to cover we can use our evil powers to try and get you a press pass!

How to apply

Please send an email outlining why you think you’d make a great CitySlicker to Don’t forget to include which city you live in!

Please note that at this time this opportunity is only open to students who live in the UK.
This is a voluntary, unpaid opportunity. We are looking for around ten CitySlickers around the UK. You do not need to be an experienced, published writer, but experience will help us to choose you, so please include any relevant links in your application.

@wilfbiffherb This particular project is for students to get involved in, as we want to better represent our large student audience. However we are always cooking up millions of projects, and have plenty coming up for everyone else as well, so please don't feel left out, we still lomolove you!

Is Lomography US going to be doing this at some poit as well? it's a great idea, and a really good way to promote understanding and amicability between students, regardless of beliefs/lifestyles through something they have in common.
