The September issue of the magazine Enjoy Vienna has a double page dedicated to Photography and Lomography! moreover, it mentions the exhibitions that take place in the city.
Once we arrived at Vienna Airport, we were given a copy of this magazine. While we waited for our luggage, I browsed the magazine and read there: Lomography. What a warm welcome in the land of Lomo!
Here is the part of the article mentioning not only Lomography, also the web page.
The magazine informs about interesting exhibitions. So if you are in Vienna the following days you can enjoy two amazing, mainly analog, photo exhibitions.
Ones is “Magic Of the Object”, Three Centuries of Photograph. It can be visited in Leopold Museum at MuseumsQuartier until the 10th October 2011. Around 200 works offer a fascinating collective presentation of historic photographs from the 19th and early 20th centuries with contemporary photographic works. More info at Leopoldmuseum.org
The other exhibition is “A World of Pictures Unbound”, The Photographic Society in Vienna 1861-1945. You can find it in the Albertina Museum until 2th October 2011. The exhibition presents about 260 examples of Austrian photography date before 1945. More Info at Albertina.at
