RECAP: Meet at Twin Peaks

Lomographers learn and practice panoramic shots from atop the best of view in all of San Francisco.

It was a great and sunny day in San Francisco and a group of Lomographers took advantage of this by convening at one of the city’s best lookout spots, Twin Peaks.

The agenda for the day was to tap into the Diana’s panoramic abilities. Naturally, the highest point would offer the best panoramic shots, so we took a little hike up one of the two hills that make up Twin Peaks.

Once we got up there we had clear and expansive views of most of San Francisco all around us.
With a bit of guidance and tips, everyone was off shooting their own panoramic shots from four frames a panoramic shot to a full 360-degree shot using a whole roll of film. After awhile everyone seemed to be getting the hang of it and experimenting more with double exposures.

After we have exhausted our rolls we walked back down the hill and hoped over a fence to a water reservoir site. We took this chance to take more pictures and sat down to relax and enjoy the wonderful day.

It was an awesome feeling to be the only people with analog cameras in a predominantly digital camera destination. Many people asked what kinds of camera we were using and what techniques we were trying.

Once again, thanks for everyone who made it out to this meetup! We can’t wait to go shooting with you guys again! For everyone who couldn’t make it, we have many more meetups coming up; just check our Lomohome for all the details!
