A famous fashion magazine editor, she began working as Anna Wintour’s assistant on U.S. Vogue, after that, she worked for Michael Roberts, the fashion director at Tatler, then British Vogue, then The Sunday Times – and ultimately she returned to Tatler as fashion director.

Stefan Brüggemann shot the photos in this book in March 2007. Two months later, Blow died. She gave in to her ongoing struggle with depression and committed suicide.

Best known for being the muse of milliner Philip Treacy, Blow is also credited with discovering sensational designer Alexander McQueen; whose graduate collection she bought for ₤5,000.

Exploring an evening of dress-up between friends, the photos in the book reveal the ups and downs of Blow’s personality at times outshined by luscious gowns and over the top head pieces.

Published by Triangulo, Isabella Blow, ISBN: 9788461467969, features photographs by Stefan Brüggemann, texts by Enrique Giner de los Ríos and Detmar Blow. It is sofbound and 96 pages long.
