RECAP: Cowboy in Chinatown - Double Exposure Walk

A group of Lomographers took to the colorful streets of Chinatown for a double exposure adventure.

Chinatown was buzzing this Saturday with it’s usual hustle and bustle, but this particular summertime afternoon became even more electric as our crew of Lomographers roamed the colorful chaos of this San Francisco neighborhood to learn the basics and concepts of how to incorporate double exposure techniques to their photographs.

The sweet smell of sugary vanilla wafted us down Stockton street after we met at the Golden Gate Cookie Factory to hear some pivotal pointers about light, color, and the creative spontaneity of multiple exposures from Mr. Lomo-Camkage himself . Visiting from Texas, Cameron answered questions along the way and ran everyone through the basics. With all the sights and textures of Chinatown – everything from bright fruit markets to drum circle practices, dragon ornaments and paper lanterns, there was no lack of subject material.

Needless to say, it was a fantastic walk – complete with fortune cookies for all! Be sure to read Cameron’s popular blog post on multiple exposures over here to gain some multiple exposure wisdom yourself!

Don’t forget to show us your shots – we can’t wait to see them. Tag your best ones with “LomographySF” on Facebook and follow us on Twitter for updates, events, tips & tricks. And, of course, don’t forget to Friend our LomoHome!
