Did you know that Pablo Picasso dabbled in a medium other than paint? You probably do. You probably do know, too, that it involved light and remarkably slow shutter speeds. But have you seen the evidence?

During a trip to France, a photographer visited Picasso and showed him photos of ice skaters with lights attached to their blades as they moved in the dark. I reckon Picasso thought they were pretty neat, he had to try the photographic trick himself.
Here are the world renowned realist’s less famous light paintings, captured in 1942 by the same photographer, Gjon Mili.
